What does Final Round AI do?
Final Round AI sells a desktop application called Interview CoPilot. Its product page describes the live mode this way:
Interview CoPilot™ listens through your microphone and shows private real-time guidance on your screen.
writes an answer you can say out loud on your display only.
Written in the first person, word by word, as you'd say it.
It runs as an installed app:
Runs in the Final Round AI desktop app on macOS 14.4+ and Windows.
Its FAQ lists the meeting tools it works with and what the app records:
You can use the copilot with calls on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and browser meeting tools.
The current desktop app automatically records session audio during live, phone and practice sessions
The product page names coding and system design support and says it covers "every interview type". It does not name case or consulting interviews. The FAQ's practice scenarios include a "Product Case" option.
What does it cost?
There is no free trial - live sessions need an active Pro subscription.
The pricing page shows a Free plan at $0 ("Set up Goals and prepare materials for the jobs you are chasing.") and a Pro plan displayed as "$25+/mo" next to "See all plans" and "Save up to 40%". The page does not name billing periods or explain the plus sign, so the monthly price on a month-to-month term is not stated there; the "See all plans" link inside the product shows the terms. Its FAQ describes a refund process with conditions.
What does Casepartner do differently?
Three design choices, each a trade-off rather than an upgrade.
One hint, never an answer
Casepartner shows one hint under 40 words in a fixed shape. It is a structure to say in your own words, the next clarifying question, a math check, or the skeleton of a story. It never writes a sentence to read aloud, because a consulting interviewer is listening for how you think, and a read script sounds like one.
Built for the case and the fit round
The hint types, the eval set and the exhibit reader are built for consulting interviews: interviewer-led and candidate-led cases, market sizing, exhibits, synthesis, and the behavioral questions firms ask. Final Round AI names coding and system design on its product page; Casepartner does not cover those.
A browser tab, and nothing stored
Casepartner runs in a Chrome or Edge tab and hears the meeting through shared tab audio, so the call has to run in the Zoom or Teams web client. There is no desktop app yet. In exchange, nothing is installed, your microphone is never captured, and nothing is recorded: the transcript exists only while the session runs. Final Round AI's FAQ says its desktop app records session audio automatically and keeps transcripts in the account.
Which one should you pick?
Pick Final Round AI if your interviews are coding or system design, you want full first-person answers on screen, and you want a desktop app that works with the Zoom or Teams desktop clients and phone calls.
Pick Casepartner if your interviews are consulting cases and fit rounds, you want a prompt rather than a script, and you want nothing recorded.
On the question both products get asked, whether live use is allowed in a real interview, the answer does not depend on the product. The two largest strategy firms say real-time AI responses during an interview are not allowed; their sentences are quoted in the firm policies guide. Casepartner is built for practice and says so on every page.
Questions
Is Casepartner a Final Round AI alternative?
For consulting case and fit interviews, yes. For coding and system design interviews, no: Casepartner does not cover them, and Final Round AI names both on its product page.
Does Final Round AI cover case interviews?
Its product page names coding and system design and says "every interview type"; it does not name case or consulting interviews. Its FAQ lists a "Product Case" practice scenario. Read on October 28, 2026.
Does Casepartner record the interview?
No. Audio from the shared tab becomes a live transcript and the transcript is gone when the session ends. Final Round AI’s FAQ says its desktop app records session audio automatically.
Is either one allowed in a real interview?
That depends on the firm, not the product. McKinsey and BCG say real-time AI responses during an interview are not allowed; the sentences are quoted in the firm policies guide. Casepartner is built for practice.
